Greetings Bethel Family,
We wanted to get out this information as soon as we could after multiple conversations regarding the immediate decisions and direction for our programs.
We have four important items of consideration as we make these decisions.

  1. We want as many as possible to feel safe when they come to the campus.

  1. We want to maintain momentum and not have to change plans when things out of our control cause us to have to change plans. Like moving inside and then having to move outside again, restrictions on worship, etc.

  1. We want as many as possible to have the freedom to worship with a clear conscience.

  1. We want to have everything completely in place for a successful and complete comeback.

  1. We have to consider our insurance coverage on possible issues caused by negligence.

What’s Happening Next
For the immediate future we will continue with our Sunday evening service. Times may change, but we are encouraged by the momentum and unity we are experiencing on Sunday nights. However, we are concerned that a portion of our church family are not able to attend on Sunday night, and so we’ve created a new option for Sunday morning.
Beginning on Sunday, September 13th, we will allow LifeGroups to begin meeting at 9 AM. Then following at 10:30 am, a new service will be added which will include classic hymn videos followed by an interactive teaching of the message by Pastor Todd. We would like any who would want to attend to join us whether you attend a Sunday morning LifeGroup or not. We are working hard to make sure that we can also live Zoom from our classes for those that can’t make it to church at 9 am.
The last part of the comeback is an “all in” Sunday morning launch tentatively targeted on November 1st. This Sunday we will aim to have a complete in person service with all programs and groups meeting on the campus. 9 am LifeGroups and 10:30 am Service.
Additionally, we are looking at continuing an evening service geared toward outreach. More on that to come in the future.
Lastly, due to the complexity of the planning and to the uncertainty of where we will be socially we are cancelling Trunk or Treat this year in lieu of a new outreach idea that Jennifer Contrares has called Winter Wonderland. More on this to come!
